It is worth buying a subscription to www.songdiscovery.com which includes a monthly listening CD & charts with a good variety of new worship songs and also includes the Worship Leader magazine.
You are probably familiar with the college-focused music of Passion (www.268generation.com or www.worshiptogether.com), which features Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, David Crowder, Matt Redman, Shane & Shane, Watermark, and more. You can find these albums everywhere.
I really enjoy the rich texts of Sovereign Grace music. You can order various albums from their website www.sovereigngraceministries.org/Resources/Music and download music charts for free as well. Most of their music is terrific!
I enjoy projects from: Daniel Renstrom (Website and Worship Album, Travis Cottrell, Caedmon’s Call, Andrew Peterson, Fernando Ortega, Jars of Clay, City on a Hill, Glory Revealed, Hillsong and United Live.
I appreciate the modern hymn-writers, Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, who have both written many of our favorites: In Christ Alone, How Deep the Father’s Love, The Power of the Cross, and Speak, O Lord. All of the Keith and Kristyn Getty albums are terrific (order from www.keithgetty.com). Townend albums can be ordered thru: www.worshipmusic.com/stuarttownend.html. The New Hymn Makers: How Deep the Father’s Love features the classical/sacred sounds of a boy choir, concert chorale, and organ.
Indelible Grace’s hope is to “help the church recover the tradition of putting old hymns to new music for each generation, and to enrich our worship with a huge view of God and His indelible grace.” You can order albums and download music charts from www.igracemusic.com.
Also check out www.redmountainchurch.org. I have heard positive comments about these 3 albums: The Gadsby Project, Depth of Mercy, and Help My Unbelief. The lyrics are theologically sound and lyrically stimulating.
